Meet the Team
Magdalena Schlegel - Physiotherapist
Magdalena is a Registered Physiotherapist and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist passionate about helping people move with confidence, overcome pain, and return to the activities they love.
Magdalena graduated with her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and has completed extensive post-graduate training in pelvic health, orthopaedics, manual therapy, dry needling, and running injuries.
She has a special interest in pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause care, treating conditions such as pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA), and overactive bladder syndrome. She also enjoys working with runners and dancers.
Magdalena believes in treating the whole person, not just the injury. Her evidence-informed approach focuses on identifying the root cause of symptoms while empowering clients with the knowledge and tools they need for lasting recovery.
As a mother of two, Magdalena understands firsthand the physical demands women experience throughout different stages of life and is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care to help women feel strong, confident, and supported.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find her walking her dog, running, practicing Pilates, and hiking. A former dancer and dance instructor, she remains closely connected to the local dance communities and has been a 20 year season ticket holder of the Alberta Ballet.
